Our nation’s capital, the City of Ottawa, has selected Legend Recreation Software as its new registration and recreation management software. Legend’s innovative cloud-based single solution software system replaces the City’s incumbent CLASS software, which is reaching its end-of-life. The Legend solution will benefit residents and users of the City’s recreation programs with faster access during peak registration periods, online booking functionality and a consistent user experience across multiple devices.
Following a rigorous, competitive tender process, Legend was selected for its proven capabilities in streamlining recreation businesses and ensuring that organisations gain both greater value from the data and information within their business systems, whilst significantly enhancing the customer experience.
James O’Brien, Director, Legend Recreation Software, comments: “We are delighted to have been selected by the City of Ottawa. We were impressed with the diligent procurement process and we are extremely proud to be serving Canada’s capital. We look forward to ensuring the City and its residents transition seamlessly to the new system.”
Legend entered the Canadian market in 2015. Legend is a highly specialised provider of recreation management software with installations around the world. Legend was founded in the UK in 2002 and has been successfully implemented at over 1,500 sites in nine countries. Canadian organizations who already benefit from the Legend system include Dovercourt Recreation Association and the City of Woodstock, where the technology is already delivering improvements including operations and customer service.
The Legend solution includes a full suite of online registration, facility rental and customer account management services; a comprehensive point of sale system via the Legend Front Desk; and its ground breaking Legend Back Office application. Legend’s flagship business intelligence reporting will allow the City to understand customer needs and deliver their recreation services more effectively. The project is currently in planning and implementation phase, with testing scheduled for the coming months. The City of Ottawa is expecting to go live with Legend in early 2018.Back to News
